EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Thomas University

YEARS LEADING IN EDUCATION: I have taught 6th, 7th, 8th grades for over a decade!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TEACHING MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS?: I enjoy seeing the excitement of learning something new, the joy in helping a classmate understand a concept, the playfulness, silliness, and endless energy they have every single day, and the sweet spirit they share with me.

FAVORITE SNACK: My favorite snack is popcorn and cotton candy ice cream, and sometimes I eat them together!

FAVORITE HOBBY: I love doing things outdoors with my husband and our four boys! We have had some fun adventures! I also enjoy playing tennis!

FAVORITE MOVIE: Pride and Prejudice

FAVORITE BOOK: There are too many to pick a favorite!

AS A CHILD, WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? As a young child, I wanted to be an astronaut. I remember going to Kennedy Space Center as a kid with my family, and everything about space fascinated me.

HOW DID YOU LAND AT SCA?: I believe God puts us where He wants us to be to use us for His Glory.

IS THERE A TRICK TO REMEMBERING HOW TO PRONOUNCE YOUR LAST NAME CORRECTLY?: HAHA! Well, we usually just tell people as long as you’re close, we don’t mind!

WHY DO YOU THINK CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL?: The education children receive at SCA is so valuable. Having biblical values instilled and taught at school only reinforces what parents do at home and church.
