A Milestone Moment in the History of Our School!
First graders through seniors gathered near the pond in Legacy Park on October 30 to take part in a special moment of celebration. Joined by SCA administration and faculty, Sherwood Committee Chairperson and Executive Pastor Jim McBride, and Sherwood Church Senior Pastor Paul Gotthardt, the school dedicated four young live oak trees, each representing a decade of Sherwood Christian Academy’s 40-year legacy.
Pastor Paul prayed over the decades behind us and the years ahead, thanking God for the lives transformed through SCA and asking for His blessing on the next generation of leaders who will come from our school. Together with Headmaster Kenny Roberts, Elementary Principal Sylvia Hager, and Pastor Jim, he led the tree dedication.
We are grateful to watch these four trees take root and grow in the years ahead. Visible from the school campus, they will provide shade and add beauty to the Legacy Park landscape—a living reminder of God’s faithfulness to SCA.
We are deeply grateful for 40 years of God’s faithfulness and look forward with excitement to the generations still to come.
